Do you want to create a logo for free online and download it in just a few minutes? Without having to learn logo design from scratch or pay costly prices ($150+) for it?
If so, then keep reading on.
A logo is an imagery representation of a brand to the public. Carrying within it a company’s core values.
So having the right one for your blog is crucial for its right perception.
But how do you create one?
And is using logo makers and generators the best route to take?
It’s actually very simple.
And all thanks to the various logo makers online.
So how exactly do you go about creating a logo for free online using free logo makers?
By first, getting inspired. 🙂
Whenever I want to create a logo, the first thing I do is look around for logo inspiration.
This involves visiting Google, Pinterest, logo freelance sites and marketplaces to see current logo designs and find ones I would like to model after.
All you have to do is search for logo design examples of what you’re looking for, ex. “A logos“, “Minimalist G Logos” etc.
And from the search query, you get lots of logo examples from which to draw your inspiration from.
But don’t limit yourself to just a few places either, anywhere you can get logos is a good place to get logo inspiration from.
You’ll spend quite a while on this. So take your time and be sure you’ve got a few good example ideas to test out before hitting the logo makers below.
At this stage, you should be having a few logo ideas to try out and brand colors picked out.
This will give you focus and save you time that would otherwise go to waste by creating things out aimlessly.
And best of all, help you pick out the best online logo maker for the job.
Now, there are several ways you could go about creating a logo for free, but using free online logo makers is quickly becoming a favorite.
Below, I’ve compiled a few logo creators and logo generators to get you started.
For this post, we shall look at Canva’s and The HOTH’s Logo Makers. And see how you can create your own awesome logo for your blog with them.
Now creating a logo with Canva is super simple, and similar to creating any other graphic with them.
If you’d like to follow through with a video. I made one for you. And if you like it, consider subscribing. Thanks.
To get started, head out to Canva and signup/login. If you don’t have an account with them yet create one quickly and get started.
On the Design anything search field, type in Logo. And from the auto-suggested list, Select the Logo option.
This will open a design window in a new tab. From where you can go through all logo templates and choose the one you’d like to customize by simply clicking it.
Adjust the text, fonts, colors, filters, contrast, layers, etc. to your liking. And once you’ve got what you are looking for, simply click on the Download button on the top right corner to download your logo creation.
Note: Background transparency is a pro feature. But you can remove the background for free using the method shown in the video below. 🙂
Similarly to Canva, using The HOTH’s logo maker is also simple and quite straightforward.
To get started, head over to THEHOTH here and click on Create My Logo! button.
This will take you to their logo tool’s interface with a sample logo.
Simply click on the New button on the top menu bar to get started with a blank canvas.
From there, on the left sidebar, click on ADD TEXT option and type in your blog’s/brand’s name.
Now customize your font, color, styling, and size to your liking.
Once done, from the same sidebar, click on ADD SYMBOL option and choose a befitting icon to go with your blog name.
All symbols, similar to the text above, are customizable. The active part of a customizable symbol will blink with several options to manipulate the part further.
Experiment with the options until you find a style that will best resonate with your blog’s audience.
Another option at your disposal is to add shapes within your logo to create a simple or complex of a logo design as you’d want.
And same as with the symbols, these shapes are customizable as well.
So experiment with this tool until you get your stunning logo created.
And once satisfied with the outcome, preview your logo on different product mockups and then Save & Download it.
You’re done! 🙂
Note: You must submit your email address to receive your logo creation download link and for later edits.
If you don’t know how to design or how you can design your own blog’s logo. And don’t want to spend excessive amounts of money to get one done with a professional logo designer, then it’s absolutely worth it and a lifesaver.
Maybe you are testing out a concept and don’t want to commit money initially, it’s understandable.
But here’s where the “But” comes in.
Most if not all free online logo generators lack extreme customization abilities, limiting what you can create with them.
Another reason is that you’re mostly dealing with templates. And this means getting a unique logo out of a template design will be a challenge.
It’s even worse when you can get a professional logo done on Fiverr from as low as $5. It makes generating something you don’t WANT, just to save a bit, unwise.
If it’s your main blog, invest. If it’s just a concept or an idea you’re testing out initially and not overly serious about then using logo makers and logo generators is fine.
I hope you got value out of this post and if so find it in your heart to share it with your friends.
That’s it from me today on how to create a logo for free online and download it in just a few minutes without being overly artistic about it.
Have you started your own self-hosted blog? If not, this guide here will take you from the domain to a live blog in just a few minutes.
