Hunter.io is a simple tool that helps you find an email address associated with any domain. The tool’s name comes from the fact that it can be used to hunt down an email address for any individual, organization, or domain.
Hunter.io is ideal for marketers who use email as a way to fill their sales pipeline. It’s also very handy for agencies that need to verify email addresses for a group of people: instead of looking up each address individually, you can use Hunter.io to find and verify all of them at once.
It’s is a fantastic tool for link building but this isn’t the only option on the market. It’s hands down the best tool if you are actively building links for your site.
However if you are on a tight budget, then Hunter might not be the best option for you. There are some other options that can provide you with the same functionalities for cheaper prices. Additionally if you want to find emails from social media, then you should go with a tool other than Hunter since Hunter doesn’t work with social media.
Anyways, if you don’t want to use hunter for one reason or the other, here are some great alternatives you can use.
Hunter.io is a really useful tool for finding software. But it’s not the only tool of its kind. Here are some alternative tools you can consider using instead of Hunter.
Snovio is a web-based platform that allows marketers to find, verify, and engage email addresses. The tool boasts a variety of features such as email tracking and technology tracking. But when it comes to the validity of its email verification services, Snovio falls behind industry standards.
While Hunter allows only 50 email verifications per month on its free plan, Snov.io allows 200 email verifications per month.
Hunter.io verifies only professional email addresses. Professional emails or webmails are the ones that include your domain name such as firstname.lastname@example.org. You can’t use it to verify gmail, yahoo or hotmail emails. Conversely, Snov.io allows you to verify all e-mail addresses other than Yahoo. Additionally Snov.io incorporates a social media research option allowing you to find emails from people’s social media profiles.
While snow.io gives you more flexibility for email verification, its overall accuracy is lower than Hunter.
The pricing of Snovio beats Hunter by a large margin. Its basic plan costs just $33 per month and it lets you do 1,000 domain searches and 10,000 email verifications. While Hunter’s basic plan is $49 and allows only 500 email/domain searches and 1000 verifications. For someone on a tight budget, Snov.io is the way to go.
FindThatLead is another option if you are looking for a Hunter.io alternative. It includes all the features Hunter has to offer like email verification and email search by domain. etc.
FindThatLead has some functions that Hunter lacks. Its social media research tools let you search for email addresses by crawling people’s social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, etc.
Because of it’s extensive features, it’s a bit complex, so it takes some time to learn. However Findthatlead helps you with that by providing great documentation and guides on their site. They also have a YouTube channel with a ton of helpful tutorials.
Findthatlead has a more generous free plan than Hunter. It allows 20 free searches daily, which accounts for 300 monthly searches. That’s six times better than Hunter.
Additionally, it’s free and you can do bulk searches, something Hunter doesn’t allow.
Their basic plan costs $49, the same as Hunter. However it allows you to do 5000 searches per month. While Hunter allows only 1500 searches for the same price.
Contact out is very similar to Hunter.io. However it does allow you to find emails from people’s Linkedin profiles. It’s very easy to use. All you have to do is sign up for one of their programs and install their chrome extension. The extension works pretty much like Hunter.
It allows you to find email from linkedin. It’s way ahead of Hunter when it comes to accuracy. It will return you with more accurate emails than any other tool out there on the market.
Getting started with this tool is simple and straightforward. The extension and online dashboard are easy to understand and navigate.
It works only with Linkedin and can be integrated only with Github. Customer service isn’t great, and you may have to wait a long time for their support team to respond.
Pricing is the main draw back of Contactout. It has no free plan and the paid plans are only available on an annual basis. That makes this tool more suitable for big enterprises. For individuals, this might not be the best option.
Leadfuze, formerly called Headreach is another prospecting tool designed to help you find valuable business contacts.
You can create your list of prospects and download them in CSV format in order to integrate them with any CRM.
It allows you to find targeted leads with their emails and social profile without any need to use an additional service or tool.
It has a very simple interface with mackes it easy to use and unerstand. The best thing about this tool is that it allows you to find all the emails within your dashboard. You don’t need to install any chrome extensions and browse hundrest of webpages to capture your leads.
It’s a great tool, but they only have contacts from the US. If you want to start a business in the US, you’d be OK with leadfuse, but outside the US, it probably won’t be the best choice for you.
The pricing of Lead Fuse can’t be compared to Hunter since it is much more than just an email scraping tool. Their basic plan costs $132 per month and includes Market Based Search Filters, market based search filters, list cleaning and de duplication. You get 500 credits to use with the basic plan and 2500 credits with the ‘Scaling’ plan that costs $447/mo.
